Applications of the derivative |
Calculus studies change. After a brief overview of the class material, we will study limits and move quickly to derivatives and applications of derivatives. We will come back to limits and continuity later in the course to illustrate the importance of these concepts.
Exams
There are two midterm exams which will be held in class. The final exam is scheduled by the registrar.
If you know in advance that you will miss an exam due to an approved university function (such as an athletic event, a debate team trip, etc.), you must consult with me as soon as you know and in all cases before the exam.
The final exam must be taken at the scheduled time; keep this in mind when you make your travel plans.
