Undergraduate Degree Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Mathematics
Minimum of 45 quarter hours in MATH courses
numbered 1951 or higher including MATH 1951, 1952, 1953 or 1961, 1962,
1963, 2060, 2070, 2080; at least five MATH courses at the 3000 level
including: a.) an approved course in analysis [e.g., MATH 3161 or
3851]; b.) an approved course in algebra [e.g., MATH 3151 or 3170]; and
c.) two courses from an approved area. The obligatory analysis or
algebra course may be used as one of the two courses.

Bachelor of Science in Mathematics
Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics
Minimum of 45 quarter hours of MATH courses numbered 1951 or higher,
including MATH 1951, 1952,1953 (or 1961, 1962, 1963), 2060, 2080 and an
approved 3000-level course in both analysis [e.g., MATH 3161 or 3851]
and algebra [e.g., MATH 3151 or 3170]. At least 25 quarter hours must
be in courses numbered 2000 or higher.

Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics
The Mathematics Minor
Minimum of 20 quarter hours in math courses numbered 1951 or higher.
Credit in COMP 2300 may be counted toward the math minor, provided that
MATH 2050 (symbolic logic) is not also counted towards the minor.
Combinations of courses not covered by the foregoing two sentences must
be approved in writing by a mathematics faculty advisor.
